Pack of 25
Inhaling solvents, in the form of glue, first came to the attention of the public in the 1970s and 80s.
More recently inhaling aerosols, butane cigarette lighter refills and other products have become much more common.
These chemicals give off vapours that, when inhaled, affect the brain, and can cause health problems, such as dizziness, nausea, convulsions, cardiac arrhythmia, and even asphyxia.
It is thought that there are likely to be in the region of 57,000 adults in England & Wales who have used glues, solvents, gas or aerosols in the past year.
This double-sided, full- colour postcard uses easy-to-understand language to raise awareness of the health implications of inhaling solvents.
