NRG1 (Naphyrone) is a stimulant drug closely related to the cathinone family, which includes mephedrone.
The effects of NRG1 are similar to other stimulants, such as ecstasy (MDMA) and cocaine. People may use the drug on purpose as a substitute for these or may mistakenly think they are these drugs. However, the potency and effects are different, which can be dangerous.
